I’m meeting again with someone who helped me a lot when I worked in sales...
- 222.
It’s a one-on-one meeting with a manager.
- 223.
They had asked me for advice in the context of product collaboration...
- 224.
so I’m hoping we can talk about that...
- 225.
That’s what I’m hoping to do.
- 226.
I also got to share some ideas about the product’s future direction, and I had a feeling they would be pleased, which made me happy.
- 227.
I think she’s someone who firmly holds her own sense of what is right...
- 228.
She has a strong moral compass, and...
- 229.
Rather than stubbornly forcing that sense of justice through...
- 230.
I’d say she upholds her principles with flexibility...
- 231.
She’s someone who stays true to what she believes in while remaining adaptable; that’s what I felt while...
- 232.
working with her. Well...
- 233.
We were on the same team, and, well, it was specifically for new graduates...
- 234.
people who had just joined the company as new graduates...
- 235.
We were responsible for onboarding them...
- 236.

When we were working together on that kind of team...
- 237.

At the very end, when that team was...
- 238.
解散
disbanded...
- 239.
she shed tears when it was disbanded.
- 240.
That was something that surprised me quite a bit. Well...
- 241.
They were very calm when considering that person's growth and such,
- 242.
and, well, giving feedback,
- 243.
so seeing how they did that made me realize they cared enough to shed tears,
- 244.
and, um...
- 245.
that while being deeply invested, they still acted with that kind of composure.
- 246.
It made me see that this was the composed behavior they had been showing.
- 247.
Personally, that was something that really struck me there.
- 248.
What I felt especially strongly was that behind it all, there was affection,
- 249.
and that was the reason they acted that way.
- 250.
It was a scene that made me realize that all over again.
- 251.
Right. When someone requests something like that, do you consult your manager?
- 252.
Ah, yes. I consulted Cody a great deal about it.
- 253.
They helped me so...
- 254.
They helped me tremendously and had high expectations of me, so announcing that I was leaving to take on something new made me feel sad and somewhat guilty. But since I chose to take that leap, I'm always determined to make it the right decision and contribute.
- 255.
Looking at the people around them, I sensed a sort of “they're our pride” atmosphere across the floor in that scene. Next, I have a meeting with the engineering manager. Yes.
- 256.
で、
And,

I'm still learning as a PDM, so this is a weekly meeting where they answer my questions about both technical and organizational matters.
- 260.
Seeing how proactively you take things on, I think it's amazing, especially since you've only just transferred here.
- 261.
I think they're extremely good at things like emceeing and explaining something to other people—that sort of skill.
- 262.
By the way, what did they emcee?
- 263.
Well, there's a company-wide awards ceremony called the BizReach Awards. They emceed it, and there was also some back-and-forth between the hosts.
- 264.
That's why I thought they were really skilled and impressive in that area. This is a meeting about the project I'm currently responsible for. We plan new features for the product and discuss areas of existing features that need improvement.
- 265.
Today, we really got everyone aligned on our goal. It renewed my determination to work hard so we can deliver good features to our customers.

After this...

well, several of us are going to have something like a study session—or rather, a collaborative analysis session.

Once a week,
- 269.
we set aside some time, and each participating member works on an analysis based on their chosen theme. It's usually just quiet individual work, but as we reviewed the results, the conversation expanded, and it turned into more of a discussion than a work session.
- 270.
After this, I'll finish the little bit of work I have left and then head home.

I think the people involved and the ways of doing so can vary,

That's necessary.

Things don't always go well, but every such experience is an opportunity to grow stronger. It develops not only my skills but also me as a person, including how I perceive things. I see work as a way to keep powering up so I can become someone capable of truly making the people I care about happy.
